We\u2019re all running somewhere. Sometimes we don\u2019t even know where, but we know that we must get there as quickly as possible!<\/strong><\/p>\n

On May 27, 3.15pm Lauris Reiniks\u2019 new song, \u201cEs skrienu\u201d (I\u2019m Running; Reiniks\/Freimanis\/Reiniks) will debut on most Latvian radio stations together, and the video for the song will have its premiere later that evening on LNT television. The song is the last single before the musician releases his new album. The Mikrofona Ieraksti record company has scheduled the album\u2019s release for September 2010.<\/p>\n

Reiniks says that \u201cEs skrienu\u201d is a real summer song:<\/p>\n

\u201cMy fans know me as a performer who sings ballads, and it\u2019s interesting for me to offer them this song, because it is not quite typical of my repertoire.\u00a0\u00a0It\u2019s a dynamic and melodic song which tells an interesting story and has a bit of an ethno beat.\u00a0\u00a0The excellent producer for the song was Aldis Za\u013c\u016bksnis.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The video for \u201cEs skrienu\u201d will debut on the LNT television programme \u201cVoice of the People\u201d on the evening of May 27.\u00a0\u00a0The video was directed by Aija Strazdi\u0146a and filmed by Uvis Burj\u0101ns.\u00a0\u00a0Reiniks and Strazdi\u0146a came up with the screenplay for the video.<\/p>\n

The video was filmed over the course of three days in Lauris\u2019 home town of T\u0113rvete, and it is the biggest video production in his career.\u00a0\u00a0Some 100 people were involved in the production of the video, which features a romantic and comical story with elements of an action film.\u00a0\u00a0The story focuses on mid-summer events in a Latvian small town or village, with a girl giving a boy one last opportunity to save their relationship.\u00a0\u00a0The producers of the video for \u201cEs skrienu\u201d are positioning it as a short feature film.<\/p>\n

\u201cI very much wanted the video for the song to show people what Latvia looks like in the summer \u2013 its beautiful environment and wonderful people,\u201d says Lauris.\u00a0\u00a0\u201cI hope that we have succeeded, though I have to say that the process was the toughest physical challenge that I have ever faced.\u00a0\u00a0After we finished, I couldn\u2019t walk for two days \u2013 my leg muscles were just overloaded.\u00a0\u00a0But it was worth the effort, and I hope that my fans will enjoy the video!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Lauris Reiniks and the production team would like to thank the “Spr\u012bd\u012b\u0161i” guesthouse, the horse farm of the T\u0113rvete agricultural company, the Melderis family, the T\u0113rvete group, dancers from T\u0113rvete, and the Jelgava-based dance team “Lielupe”.<\/p>\n

The song \u201cEs skrienu\u201d will be available for downloading on the\u00a0Doremi.lv<\/a>\u00a0portal from May 27.<\/p>\n
